Spring is always a thriving season, but the spring of 2021 is extra fruitful for Westerduin Personnel Mediation. From April 1, all departments of the company will be in one location again. Peter Brenkman: ‘We used to have three branches and 30 to 40 customers, but we have grown enormously since then. It will be very nice if we will be in one place again soon. This allows us to switch faster with each other and with our customers. Everyone benefits from that.’
Switching and structuring
At Westerduin Personnel Mediation they are already quite experienced in the field of switching and structuring. That cannot be otherwise, of course, when you work with people day in, day out. And structuring was also precisely the reason for taking a different approach to debtor management a few years ago. ‘As with many companies, debtor management was something that is important, but something you also do on the side. As a result, many unpaid invoices were left lying around for too long. Together with the management at the time, I went looking for a solution. Via via we came to Debitan. We first worked with a trial version for a year to see whether and how the system worked.’
Within the payment term
‘Now 90% of invoices are paid within the payment term. We are very satisfied. Belinda has been our regular debtor manager from day one. That suits me very well. She really feels like a colleague. She calls our customers every week and we notice that it works very well. The authority of someone from ‘outside’, but also the clear communication and quick follow-up are very pleasant. I can switch with her very quickly, for example when there are disputes. We also regularly receive positive feedback from our customers on our debtor management. And that’s saying something! The combination of the human touch and the right approach is perfect.’
Structure in all areas
‘I was surprised by the speed of action. Belinda switches very quickly, usually within half a day. Information requests, liquidity statements and requested analyses are processed very quickly. We also like to act quickly with our customers, but it’s nice if that happens to us too. I also notice that the structure is not only due to the timely follow-up of the invoices; the customer administration is also in better order. If payment terms, VAT reverse charge rules or invoice addresses are incorrect, this is immediately identified and corrected. And when all the data is correct, everything around it runs much smoother. And that allows us to focus more on the quality of our service.’
